Graphite Electrode

The graphite electrode is a major conduction material used in the electrical smelting industry, which has the properties of superior electric conductivity, thermal conductivity, high mechanical strength, oxidation and corrosion resistance in high temperature. The graphite electrode is typically used in EAF(for smelting steel), submerged-arcfurnace (for producing graphite electrodes),glass-melting furnace, electric furnaces producing carborundum, etc.
Graphite electrodes are classified in Representative, HD, HP, SHP and UHP. Electrodes and nipples are made from premium needle coke through the state-of -art processes of milling, screening, batching, mixing, extrusion, baking, pressurized pitch impregnation, rebaking, graphitizing and machining.
